Viacom and M7 Group extend benelux partnership

Luxembourg – 18 March 2018 – M7 Group, one of Europe’s largest pay TV providers, and Viacom Benelux have inked an agreement for the further extension of their partnership in the Benelux market.

Nickelodeon and Spike to launch as 24/7 channels at Canal Digitaal (The Netherlands) and TV VLAANDEREN (Belgium)

Under the new agreement, subscribers of M7 Group’s pay TV platforms Canal Digitaal, Online.nl and TV VLAANDEREN will continue to receive Viacom channels Nick Jr, MTV Music, VH1 en VH1 Classic, Comedy Central (only Netherlands), MTV NL and Nickelodeon/Spike. Moreover, Nickelodeon and Spike will soon also become available as separate 24/7 channels for Canal Digitaal and TV VLAANDEREN subscribers.

As part of the agreement, Viacom Benelux will use M7 satellite capacity on the ASTRA 23.5 East position for the distribution of MTV NL, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon and Spike, while also having the option to use the satellite capacity for distributing the channels to third party operators in the Benelux market. For this purpose, M7 Platform Services will provide the necessary technical facilities.
